At East York Soccer Club, we feel our first and most important contribution to the club is development. The sport of soccer keeps evolving and so do we. Through our unique programs in the areas of coaching, goalkeeping, refereeing, and player development, we are able to advance our awareness, skills and knowledge of the game.

Development is a team effort, which only gets better with members providing feedback on programs and services they want to see. So, through our balanced development clinics, we keep our integrity off and on the field.

Theo Zagar is the Club Technical and Development Director and Head Goalkeeping coach. He has been teaching and coaching young goalkeepers locally for over 10 years.

Practice Times:

2004 boys - every Monday - 6:30-8pm

2003 Boys - Thursdays - 6:30-8pm

2002 boys and Girls - Fridays - 6:30-8pm

Winter Skills Development

The Winter Skills will be part of Indoor Soccer league during the 2011-2012 Indoor Soccer Season.

The Winter Skill Development Program is available only to players who are registered for the winter soccer league H/L. The indoor registration is open to players born 2007-1998 boys or girls under the guidance of our East York SC Technical Coaching Staff, consisting of qualified coaches and former/current professional & national players. Player

East York Soccer Club is offering Player Development Programs to improve the skills of each player and to understand the game of soccer both technically and tactically. It will be offered to any player who is registered with the East York Soccer Club and will have different programs according to each player's skill level. Read more...

East York Soccer Club is offering goalkeeper clinics to improve the technical skills of the #1 position on the field. East York Soccer Club will design goalkeeper programs according to the skill level and will be under the direction of former professional goalkeeper Theo Zagar. Read more...

Referee

The East York Soccer Club Referee Development Clinic offers seasoned or new referees the skills and knowledge needed to officiate games. Referees may refresh and/or learn the rules and mechanics of the outdoor or indoor seasons. East York provides professional direction and leadership to referees so that they have the confidence and ability to supervise any level of the sport. Read more...
